Associate Professor of Operations Management
EUGENE KACIAK, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Operations Management at Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. He earned both his M.Sc. in Economics (1973) in the field of Management Science and his PhD in the field of Econometrics (1977) at Warsaw School of Economics (Poland). He taught for more than thirty years at various business schools in Poland (Warsaw School of Economics, Krakow Academy of Economics, Leon Kozminski School of Entrepreneurship and Management), Algeria (University of Algiers), and Canada (University of Alberta, Laurentian University, and Brock University).
Current research interests:
- Laddering (Means-End Chain-based) methods in social sciences - theory and practice (his ongoing studies involve analysis of factors influencing smoking behaviour, wine consumption, and residential recycling)
- Co-evolution of emerging markets (EMs) and multinational enterprises (MNEs)
- International Entrepreneurship (Born Globals)
